Clooney on Darfur

It may have been the words of a hollywood actor, rather than a political leader, but I found them rather poignant and apt.

Every one of Cal's readers please, please forgive my language; try to feel the strength of my feelings when I say how much I dislike fatuitous blaming of the U.N. for Darfur. As that ass hole Bolton said himself, the U.N. will not act without the U.S. military behind it. The the Two Chickenhawks, Bush and Blair have squandered the resources of Anglo-American statesmanship in the deserts of Iraquagmire. Had they not so capriciously done so, we might have enough left over from the Afghanistan mission to afford us the Solution Clinto used to solve the Bosnia-Kosovo problem.

I have to admit I completely agree; its such a shame that the UN's power is limited by our two nations. The UN can't be blamed, but I'm inclined to blame Bush and Blair.
Bring on Gordon Brown's reign!

I can add nothing to the words of Vig and Cal. I agree completely.
